Now, the sins of the Hierarchy aren’t only proclaimed from the rooftops they are proclaimed from Satellites in outer-space, the very heaven of heavens! How appropriate for this SCANDAL! The very Church, which sentenced Galileo to house-arrest under tribunals from the Inquisition and set science back for centuries is now reaping the largess of news stories exposing her corruption! I bet that Galileo is up in heaven laughing his fanny off!

It may have taken a couple of days, but the Vatican has retaliated in spades against Cardinal O’Brien and may have taken him out of the picture as well. They released to the press accusations of inappropriate behavior by the cardinal made by four men (3 priests and a former priest) who were in the seminary while he was the spiritual director of that seminary.

Though I was wrong about O’Brien, it seems the last line of my essay “Stay tuned” still holds. First Cardinal Mahony was thrown under the tracks (deservedly I might add) and now a second one Cardinal O’Brien has been tossed to the dogs. Unprecedented behavior for the college of cardinals.
